Those of you who have spent time studying the waters of Cape Cod, Vineyard Sound, and Nantucket Sound, know there are a number of one common type of fish attracting structure.........SHOALS. Also known as rips, these areas are known for holding large quantities of various baitfish.  These baitfish attract Big Striped Bass and Bluefish.  At Dr. Shoals Sportfishing, we spend a great deal of time fishing these rips and consistently catch stripers in the 20 to 30 pound class.

Jigging with wire line and Hairball jigs, or trolling with tube and worm are the two most common methods we employ for catching large numbers of stripers.  If you want to have fun with the Bluefish, Bonito or False Albacore, we can troll minnow type baits or cast to breaking fish.
